"I pray every single second of my life; not on my knees but with my work. My prayer is to lift women to equality with men. Work and worship are one with me. I know there is no God of the universe made happy by my getting down on my knees and calling him 'great.'" -Susan B. Anthony

A sick commentary on our “Healthcare” system

    By Kate | April 1, 2008

TELL ME that this was an April Fool’s . . .

But considering that it took until my third trimester to finally qualify for any health insurance, after 6 months of trying, I suppose I shouldn’t be surprised. I still expect to hear that they’ve kicked me out again any day now . . .

P.S. Upon reading the article, 2 further thoughts:

      1) I find it interesting that this is covered by the BBC.

      2) My best friend from high school is actually the clinic manager for Outside In, the organization providing health care for the homeless & otherwise needy mentioned in the article (their director is interviewed).
