About Neil
I am 31 years old (did not see that coming) and live with Kate, my beautiful, amazing and fun, spouse in Washington, DC. I love it here. I am a PhD student at George Mason University studying for a degree in Environmental Science and Policy. It is so great to be able to spend all week studying things I love. I am planning on doing my research in Nairobi, Kenya where I grew up as a kid. I will be visiting there this spring break and am so excited to return after 12 years of being away.
I love traveling and since being married have lived in Provo, San Cristobal de las Casas, Salt Lake City, San Diego, New York, Washington DC, San Jose, and now Vienna, Virginia. I have also tried to visit as many UNESCO sites as possible and have gone to nearly all in the United States.
I am putting together a personal website, more as a portfolio or resume, and you can see that at www.neilransom.com.

Hey Neil, Steve and I were curious, are you thinking about med school? Stephen is and we are trying to decide where he should take his prerequisites, we would be interested in your experience if you have time.
I love your blog! I am also a GMU alum, btw! I am working on a project creating a 3 course meal from every country in the world! (sometimes more in some cases!) Anyways, I found you looking for Andorran deserts. Your blog is really fun and awesome! Just a side note, it seems you might be vegetarians, becareful sometimes–because things can get lost in translation, and often you might end up eating something that is meat based, or has gelatin in it, etc. So if you really care, you should probably double check!
