About Neil
I am 29, graduated from BYU in anthropology and international development. I spent my formative years outside the US in Kenya, Mexico, France, and Nepal. At 18, tired of high-school and the international scene, I moved to Rexburg, Idaho to begin what has turned out to be a very long bachelors degree.
After about a year (Spring 2000) I went on a mission to Sacramento, California, had a wonderful time, and returned to my family in Nepal in February 2002.
That summer I moved to Valdez Alaska to work in a fish cannery with my friend Jason, who, by the way, said, and I quote, “yea it’s fun up here, everyone should try it at least once.” Turns out working in a fish cannery is not fun, and not something, “everyone needs to try once.” Anyway I returned to school, transferred to BYU that next spring.
During the Provo years I managed to get a job as a graphic artist for an archeology professor and worked for Dr. Clark for a few years. For my senior thesis I did research in Coimbatore, India and an internship in Bangladesh. I returned 6 months later to finish my degree and meet Kate.
I married Kate, and will now be starting a Master of Environmental Science and Policy program at George Mason University in the fall.
That’s me in a nut shell.
