Going Rogue

I had a conversation (gchat) today with my (hilarious) friend Jill in which I told her that I usually lie & say that I’m 30 (even though, technically, I am only 29). I love the sound of 30. It gives you such street-cred. You know, “I’m not just some dumb college kid. I’m THIRTY YEARS OLD.”
I also quite like the route my hair is taking. Taking after the X-men character Rogue (known for her occasional super strength and flight and occasional martial arts and unarmed combat).

Can you see them in there? More and more wise grey hairs by the day. That’s one thing law school is guaranteed to give you, not a job, but plenty of grey!
I always accidentally lie about my age starting in January. I just sort of go with the new year, even though my b-day isn’t til April.
I love your mom’s blog very much.
PS, isn’t it spelled Rogue? Rouge makes me think of 80 year old women with very red lipstick. Which is also awesome.
Jen-
I love fabfrugalfood too! And, I saw your Vanna White impression on your husband’s work website today. So great.
And… HAHAhahah. I actually like going Rouge so much better as a title… but, I have changed it to the Marvel Comic character spelling so as to keep with the theme of the pic. I loved calling blush rouge as a young gal. Still do.
Please please please wear that awesome rouge costume soooooon!
[...] 29 and was expecting it to be a rather dull birthday do to the fact that I had prematurely turned 30 last year. To rectify the mistake I decided that I would have to forgo any birthday celebrations [...]
I remember my first grey hair. That was 2 years ago. If I actually let this kopf sprout a coife, I wonder how hoary I’d look these days. I don’t want to know. I shudder to think of the toll grad. school has taken on my body.
Not to mention child rearing. I think if I ever have I child, I am just going to preemptively shave my head as well.
Oh, that’s an embarrassing Vanna bit.
