   I agree with you all that Gitmo needs to be closed. But unfortunately, most Americans do not feel the same. That is what makes things like this and health care reform so difficult. Although we all consider them to be right and just, the majority of Americans do not think that way. The majority of Americans prefer the status quo.

   I agree, but I also think a lot of people think that Guantanamo IS ALREADY closed because that’s what Obama said he was going to do. I have run into a lot of people who are actually surprised that it hasn’t been shut down already.
