We gave thanks…
For family (we hosted, for the 2nd year in a row, my ENTIRE family for Thanksgiving!)

For friends (generous, generous friends & hosts)
For food (Fab Frugal Food)
For fun (don’t I look like a natural dog-whisperer?) That is Henry, the dog we pet sit for free vacation space. Henry is the best dog ever. His average walk is about 30 ft. out the door. He then sits & refuses to move until taken back inside. My kind of pooch!
For my husband (well, I give thanks for him)
After all of the Thanksgiving hullabaloo we are looking forward to a nice quite Christmas!
Washington, the District of Colombia Our Fine Nation’s Capitol & OUR NEW HOME!
That’s right folks, hot off the presses. After a visit to DC on Wed to visit some schools we (and by that I mean I) have arrived at a decision. I am going to be transferring to American University, Washington College of Law in the Fall [yes, that is the school that did NOT let me in for last fall... NO, I AM NOT BITTER!!!]
Actually, I am really pleased with the way things are going and am really excited about my new school.

Neil is mostly happy because it means more nerd stuff to do like take pictures with C3PO… actually he is excited about school prospects for him in the DC area too (part of the reason for the switch).
As you can see, we also made time for the American History Museum… which to my great devastation got rid of the old-time American ice cream parlour… which WAS its greatest feature [as far as my 5th grade memory serves me].
Another downside of an otherwise pleasant journay was the TOWING INCIDENT
In which our car was towed onto the grass & we got a BIG, FAT TICKET.
Nothing like being forced to pose for a picture with your towed car as millions of annoyed commuters zoom by. Ah, they joy of being the wife of an amateur photographer.
LONG LIVE DC!!
